On your first visit, a comprehensive case history will be taken, including any presenting symptoms and relevant medical history. This initial consultation ensures that your Reiki session is tailored specifically to your needs, providing a safe and supportive foundation for your healing.
You will then be invited to lie down or sit comfortably, fully clothed in the peaceful and soothing treatment room. I will begin by explaining the process and ensuring you feel at ease. My hands are then gently placed on or just above specific points on your body, allowing healing energy to flow where it is most needed. You may experience sensations such as warmth, tingling, or deep relaxation as the energy works to restore balance and promote healing. Sessions often last between 45 minutes to an hour, and afterwards, you may feel lighter, more centred, and refreshed.
After a Reiki treatment, it is recommended to stay well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water and to allow yourself time to rest. It is advisable to avoid strenuous exercise or intense physical activity for the remainder of the day, enabling your body to fully integrate the benefits of the session.
