My interest in integrated holistic therapies began more than forty years ago - in the outback of Western Australia.
At nineteen, I left my home in Cheshire in search of a year’s adventure, backpacking through Thailand and eventually landing in Australia.
That "one year’s adventure" turned into a decade of incredible experiences which laid the foundation for my work today.
Living in the Western Australian outback was extraordinary on every level.
It came with its own unique challenges, especially 40 years ago and particularly when it came to accessing medical and veterinary support.
The remoteness of the region meant that help, whether for humans or animals,
was often hours or even days away and people turned to traditional knowledge and alternative therapies as a first line of care.
So began my interest in natural therapies and alternative medicine.
This interest was further piqued by having the great privilege of spending time with Aboriginal people. It was incredibly humbling to learn of their philosophy, the Dreamtime, a reciprocal relationship with the “Country” being a place of belonging, identity, a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of all things and spiritual significance.
These experiences inspired me to explore energetic healing in greater depth, eventually leading me to Homoeopathy, Reiki and other complementary therapies that I now integrate into my work at RHT.ll.” Hippo “The natural force within each of us is that greatest healer of all and "The physician is only natures assistant."
Returning to England marked a turning point in my personal and professional journey. I wanted to explore holistic medicine more fully and studied Homeopathy at the Northwest College of Homeopathy.
Life then took an unexpected turn, and I found myself in the world of corporate business. I thoroughly enjoyed learning new skills and understand the pressures and stressors many business’ owners face and so too, those in high-demand professional environments.
I work with clients who amongst other symptoms are navigating stress, burnout, and those trying to balance their personal and professional lives. My background allows me to offer not only therapeutic care but genuine empathy and understanding
Throughout my life, I have had an inherent desire to help and support others. Just as my compassion for people shaped my early years, so too did my intrinsic affection for horses and animals. It is this universal thread, a love that bridges the human and animal worlds, that continues to shape my holistic philosophy of healing and wellbeing.
Today, I run an integrated practice offering holistic therapies for both people and horses. As a qualified Reiki Master and teacher, I primarily use Reiki energy healing but can also incorporate a variety of other holistic modalities tailored to each client’s needs. My work is intuitive, compassionate, and deeply centred in the belief that true healing comes from within.
In addition to my formal qualifications in complementary holistic therapies, I am passionate about lifelong learning. I am currently engaged in advanced professional studies to deepen my expertise and enhance the care I provide.
I am proud member of several professional organisations, committed to ethical practice and the highest standards of continuing professional development (CPD). This ongoing commitment ensures I stay up to date with the latest in holistic health—delivering safe, effective, and evidence-informed care to every client and horse.
